Specialty Room
A disjointed family room became a purpose-built media room made for hosting and unwinding.
The Gormleys had a family room that never quite worked: a fireplace, open floor, and wet bar area with no cohesion. With an incredible design from Courtney at Paige Studio, we made the room purposeful for leisure and hosting.
The project called for techniques new to our team, including a metal trim detail on the platform built for the media room couches, and the countertop material ran short of covering both the new sitting bar and the media cabinets.
Our cabinet maker built a paintable countertop for the media cabinets and we wrapped the inside of the sitting bar with the platform tile, delivering the design intent while keeping the clients on budget.
